On November 4, 2026, Ambassador of China to Cyprus Yang Yundong met with Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Interior of Cyprus Dr Elikkos A. Elia.    

The two sides spoke highly of China-Cyprus relations, and stressed the importance of judicial and law enforcement cooperation for the China-Cyprus strategic partnership. They expressed willingness to further deepen communication and cooperation, and work together to create an even more enabling and friendly environment for practical cooperation and people-to-people links between the two countries.
