On July 24, 2026, Ambassador of China to Cyprus Yang Yundong paid a courtesy call on Minister of Justice and Public Order of Cyprus Costas Fytiris. 

Ambassador Yang pointed out that China-Cyprus judicial cooperation enjoys a solid basis, multiple highlights and big potential. It forms an important pillar of the strategic partnership between the two countries. The Chinese side is ready to strengthen exchanges and communication with the Cypriot side, so as to secure more tangible outcomes in the cooperation. 

Minister Fytiris congratulated Ambassador Yang on his assumption of the new post, spoke highly of Cyprus-China relations, and expressed willingness to work together with the Chinese side to make new progress in judicial cooperation.
