On March 19, 2026, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy in Cyprus Zhou Yunliang visited DIAS Media Group, the largest private media group in Cyprus, and met with Chairman Costas Hadjicostis and CEO Chrysanthos Tsouroullis.

Chargé d’Affaires Zhou gave a briefing on China’s Two Sessions. He noted that this year marks the beginning of the 15th Five-Year Plan, as well as the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 5th anniversary of the strategic partnership between China and Cyprus. He expressed China’s willingness to further strengthen cooperation with DIAS Media Group, so as to enhance people-to-people links and support the sustained and in-depth growth of bilateral relations.

Chairman Hadjicostis commended China’s development achievements. He said that DIAS closely follows Cyprus-China relations and stands ready to deepen exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese side, in order to help the Cypriot public better understand the real picture of China.

Founded in 1976, DIAS Media Group owns media outlets including Sigma TV, radio station and other platforms, with significant influence in Cyprus.
