Invited by the Confucius Institute at University of Cyprus, H.E. Ambassador Liu Xinsheng made a speech themed "China: From Past to Future" at University of Cyprus on 28 January 2015. The rector of the university Prof. Constantinos Christofides, the Chinese and Cypriot directors of the Confucius Institute attended the lecture.

 

Ambassador Liu Xinsheng shared with the audience his understanding of China, its past glories, current development and future ambitions, focusing on its remarkable achievements during the three decades of reform and opening up and the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation. Ambassador Liu also answered several questions concerning China-Cyprus bilateral relations, the Cyprus Issue, China's economy and peaceful development.

 

After the speech session, Ambassador Liu gave an interview to the university TV station.
