H.E. Ambassador Liu Xinsheng met with H.E. Mr. Averof Neophytou, President of Democratic Rally (DISY) of Cyprus on 19 September 2014. Mr. Fei Shengchao, Political Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy was present.

The two sides exchanged views on the preparations of the upcoming "Cyprus-China Cultural Festival", one of the most important bilateral cultural events in recent years.

Ambassador Liu also held a press conference together with the Chairman of the Institute of Culture of DISY to introduce briefly to the local media the preparations and activities of the cultural festival.
