H.E. Ambassador Liu Xinsheng met with Mr. Andros Kyprianou, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Progressive Party for the Working People of Cyprus (AKEL) on 22 August 2013. Mr. Venizelos Zannetos, Secretary for economic issues of AKEL was present.

The two sides exchanged views on the current economic situation in Cyprus, and discussed ways to enhance exchanges between the AKEL and the Communist Party of China (CPC), and deepen economic and trade cooperation between China and Cyprus.
